The Fon of Bafoussam Njitack Ngompe Pele lays the foundation stone for the construction of the Bafousam 1 new council hall

His Royal Majesty, the Fon of Bafousam Njitack Ngompe pele has laid the foundation stone for the Bafoussam I council hall. The Royalty laid the stone on Thursday 16 of March 2023 in the presence of the Mayor of the council Mr. Nnang Cyrille, other personalities and the population of Bafousam 1.

The symbolic ceremony was aimed at seeking the blessings of the ancestors, as the Fon together with quarter heads performed traditional rites at the construction site and also seek blessings from  the people of Ndiengso as they open their arms to development and from God. 

According to the contractor of the project, Mr Mbakop Charlie, the project that will be in three phases with an estimated cost of about eight hundred million and reassured the population that the first phase will be done in twelve months.

The Mayor thanked his Royal Majesty for always partnering with the council for developmental projects in the sub division. And his Royal Majesty on his side applauded the efforts of Mr. Nnang Cyrille as he tries to ameliorate the living conditions of the population. 

With all the blessings poured on the land, the population is rest assured to have a hitch free project execution till it's completion.

 Gender based violence is an umbrella term used for any harmful act perpetrated against some one's will and that is ascribed to socially ascribed norms between male and females. Gender based violence seems to be very rampant in our societies today as it takes varied shapes and colors, and sophisticated forms deep rooted in our society People living with disability have double vulnerability when it comes to Gender Based Violence.
